What is the Sunshine Project?

Established in 2022 by the Fuquay-Varina Junior Woman’s Club, The Sunshine Project sends snacks and shelf-stable meals to 20 local elementary, middle and high schools monthly. These donations help to feed students ages 5-18 who face food insecurity at home. The items are kept in sunshine-yellow bins in each school’s office and students can access them discreetly.

Our Amazon Wish List is a quick, easy way to purchase food and have it sent directly to our club for distribution to Fuquay-Varina schools.

You can also make a tax-deductible donation to FVJWC and specify “Sunshine” in the memo. Any amount would be greatly appreciated. Each school’s monthly delivery amounts to ~$100!
